We educate medical students, graduate students and postdoctoral fellows to practice patient-centered medicine, to study the prevention and treatment of disease, and to excel in health care delivery and in the basic sciences.
Establised
The history of the NAO «West Kazakhstan Medical University named after Marat Ospanov» began in 1957.
Infrastructure
The University has 5 educational and laboratory buildings, 5 student dormitories with 2,100 seats, a conference hall with 700 seats, and a modern scientific library.
Programs
WKMU offers 79 educational programs in all areas: 17 Bachelor's degree programs, 46 residency programs, 13 Master's degree programs.
Placement
The employment rate of graduates in 2025 was 98.3%, those who studied under an educational grant – 100%.
